Student Ambassador Scholarship funded by the Walter and Alice Scherer Scholarship Endowment
This scholarship is for full tuition for students selected as Richland Student Ambassadors. The Richland Student Ambassador Program is a leadership opportunity for students interested in representing Richland Community College while building professional skills and connections. Selected students will serve as Student Ambassadors, representing the College at events, supporting recruitment and community outreach efforts, and sharing the Richland experience with donors, prospective students, and community partners.
Ambassadors will enroll in a student development course for ambassadors each semester, focused on learning about leadership, networking, career readiness, and communication skills. Each student will also be paired with a Richland alumnus/a or community mentor for guidance and career exploration. Students will be expected to participate in Ambassador-related activities, roughly equating to 8-10 hours per month. Students selected for the program will receive a full-tuition scholarship for the academic year in recognition of their leadership and service. Finalists will participate in an interview process prior to acceptance into the program.
